| Subject: Debate Thread 1/22/2011, 3:28 pm | |
| Okay, I know we've brought up a million ideas already, but here's one. What if we had debate threads, which would work like this: The OP brings up a topic for debate, then waits a day. During this time, up to two other users can enter the debate officially. After that, the thread is open to debaters for three days. During this time, those involved in the debate can post whatever evidence/ support they want, as well as points and counterpoints. At the end of the three days, there is a two day voting period in which the non-debating users vote on a winner. Whoever gets the most votes is declared winner of the thread and wins the right to troll the losers senseless. Now, while this is going on, other users can post in the thread, but they can't win. Only the three official debaters can win. Whatcha think? | |
