New Banner

I'm about done with it, I just need to add some finishing touches to it. It will absolutely definitely be up by the end of this weekend, possibly even sooner. Trust me when I say that the wait will be worth it though. I'm super excited to show this off, and I'm even more excited to see it and the new ranks and such on the site. I have a feeling that once the forum gets fully updating and the core group gets back together, it's gonna rock some socks.

Here we go! The new banner is up, hope you like it. If you need it resized or something, let me know. I left some empty space to add in characters later on when more members come. Also, I mentioned an easter egg. Once this version is up, I'll upload a different version. This one will be the exact same, but with Joe Mcstick replacing Logic, and the words will read "Escape Berlin!". To get to this version, users would have to click on Logic. I'm not sure if that's possible from a programmer's standpoint though, so also let me know if it is.

Oh, crap... sorry! Here's the new one. I didn't want to stretch out the image, so I added a solid green border, which I think will match the site anyway. Now it's exactly 1500px wide. Tell me if that seems right, because I still feel like it's small... maybe I'll have to re-scan and resize the actual picture.

Is this a joke? Not only is your image 798x109 with side bars I'd never put on the header, but 1500 is much wider than 1000. I meant 1000 exactly. The header at the moment is 1000 wide.

Can you scan it in more detail? If not I'll go over it in photoshop & it'll take longer to arrive. The most highest resolution & detail possible would be helpful so we can edit it here.

Argh, sorry. My computer is so darn slow, I just didn't wanna have to rescan the banner. Still though, I'm sorry for getting lazy like that, I can honestly promise that it won't happen again. I got it rescanned tonight and it's a little higher res this time. I'd have the picture up too, but my computer seriously will not load anything tonight. I rebooted about four times over a period of an hour. I'll try again tomorrow, it should be working by then. Again, sorry about letting you down, I'll size it better this time.

You're gonna hate me, but MS Paint would NOT open up now if my life depended on it. You could use the link, or I could resize the image when my computer decides to stop being terrible at everything. The second option will take longer, but I understand if you want to wait. I know your busy with college and coding.

Also, me and a friend are working on our first flash animation. He just learned flash, and I'm writing the script. Want me to write in a Verve Joint reference? Just let me know. If not, then maybe later I could do a full blown Verve flash ad.

Here we go, 1000 pixels, and at the highest resolution it can get, (any higher and my computer completely freaks out and stops working when I try to resize it) which is a little annoying, but at least I finally got Windows to cooperate. Also, we'll have to talk about the border. See, the only way to get a picture on that size paper to scan and then resize to 1000 px long is to add a border. Which is annoying. If you have any ideas on a better idea for a more professional looking border, let me know.* Otherwise, here's the final product, and even with that, I think it will look more personalized than the current border.

*It's too bad that Adrian can't design one for us...

Here we go, completely unedited. Well, I did take out the cigar. But obviously you aren't a big fan of the theme change idea, so the rest of the site is good, I'd just rather not contribute to it. Sorry, just a personal thing I guess.

I had to resize it because otherwise it turns gray for God knows what reason. But I used the Servimg thing and now it should be officially 1024 pixels. If not then I can safely assume that the world is, in fact, ending.

I'm making that the banner for now, but I still need to make that video explaining my argument for the cannabis theme.

I feel that the video is appropriate because it can be referred to the next time someone argues that we shouldn't have a cannabis theme.
