Heart of Strength
a short poem by Brad Padgett

I know where I stand
Faith has takin me to a land of enlightened sorrow
The truth is in my pocket
The key is in my hand
Life is the balance to which I will stand
For I may fall, but get back up, I must
Stay away from the snakes and those you can't trust
But hold your true friends dear and don't let them stray
Because together we can regenerate, alone we will decay

I dream of a world that we can live together in peace
Where we pick each other up and move each others feet
The time will come when we will be put to the test
Until that day, my heart will not rest

I like it brad, i really do and I know what its talking about as well when no one else will figure it out. Wink

One day we will stand together. Even the smallest bit of light can shine through the most dense of darkness. That's something I learned a long time ago.

That's a nice poem, Not only does it rhyme but the lyrics are deep and meaningful.
