Mainstream Crap.

Yeah, I know that title is fairly blunt, but I need to get a load off my chest, so I hope nobody minds if I rant a little bit here. See, I've been (trying) to listen to the radio, but I keep hearing "Can't Tame Me" and "Soul Sista", and it's bugging me to no end. Not just those two songs, but the trend that they represent. The trend that has caused music to decay in quality exponentially in the recent years. A bunch of wanna-be's with absolutely no talent pump out heavily computer edited songs that they didn't write in order to become famous and make money. That's not what music should be about. It's just lame. I mean, I liked "Soul Sista" a little bit, until I heard it the OVER 9,000th time! Have you listened to the radio lately? My God, it's terrible! It's like somebody found a formula for what the mainstream audience likes and started selling it to anyone who would buy it! It's rediculous! Have you heard rap lately? What happened to the hardcore gangsta rap? Now it's all cheesy love songs! And Justin Beiber... I can't even write in words how pathetic it is that a whiny little ten year old like him has become famous and popular in the world of music. That "Eeny Miney Moe Lover" song he's in? Yeah, for the longest time, I thought it was a girl singing that song. Turns out that it's him. Honestly. What happened to the good stuff? Guns N' Roses, Kiss, Eddie Van Hallen, Billy Idol, Ozzie Osbourne? Yes, they're popular still, but why can't stations play music of that level of quality? I know that not all stations play rock, but Billy Joel type music is pretty good stuff, and that's not all rock. Music should live up to those standards and improve upon them, but it's just... not! I mean, even Lady GaGa is pretty cool! Yes, she's mainstream, but she also writes her own songs, and she's actually unique! That's a good thing! Why is it that people have conformed to such awful music? Am I insane? I haven't ruled it out yet, but I thought i'd check here first and see what you guys thought about the matter. Grrrrr... okay, I'm done. I feel a lot better now.

iight..if you listen to the radio then you're listening to what THEY want you to hear. don't listen to the radio all the time..search for some other kind of music.
