Please, tell me about your problems. I'm listening. Maybe. Actually, I'm totally focused on my Gameboy and not you. But go ahead and tell me about your problems anyway. I might get lucky and accidentally give you good advice or something. Very Happy

I have too low expectations in life. I only want to finish college, get a job with whatever, have no kids, and live in an apartment with a cat.

Well, I say it's about time you get out some, talk with people, meet new friends and do some things together. Have you joined any clubs? Sports clubs and special interest groups can be a really good way to meet new people, and if you pick the right one, they can be a lot of fun. Maybe you'll meet someone special. As for college, do you have any strong interests in art or science? Maybe something else? If you do, look into the subject. Research it online and find inspiration, maybe you'll find the motivation in yourself to be more enthusiastic about college and your job, which will lead to more money and a better job. If not, look online for something that will interest you. There are a ton of careers out there, and one is bound to pique your interest.

Hope that helped, good luck finding your motivation! Smile

Right here. Sorry for not doing this sooner, when I made this thread I was just sort of kidding around. However, I can see that my help is wanted and that you're serious about this, so I'll be serious too. Just remember, I'm not really a doctor, so this is just advice, ultimately the choice is yours. That said, here goes:

The first thing you need to ask yourself is, are you in love? This is very important, so look deep inside yourself for the answer. If you are, then things will be difficult, but you can make it work. As long as this girl is worth it to you, stay with her. You have just as much responsibility as she does in this situation, and she'll need you. Having a child is tough, so having somebody to lean on really helps. Make sure you have a job to get some money for any necessary medical procedures and child related items. You should have some source of steady income to lessen the burden. Remember, if you work hard now, then you and her will be happy later, as will your child. However, if the answer is no, then things will be harder. I definitely recommend staying around regardless, as you have responsibilities, you are partially to "blame" for this, for a lack of better wording. Besides, not having a father can mess a kid up, and remember that, you may end up being a father soon. You don't need to be best friends with her, but you do need to help her as much as she needs to help you. It's vital to keep in mind that in the long run, the child's happiness is what should matter most. Again, you should have steady income, regardless of the situation, as well as a safe place to live. Also, either way, remember to take responsibility for your actions. You must be brave. Don't put blame on somebody else, don't lie or make up a story. In the end, the truth will set you free.

And if it ends up that she's not, then please, be careful. Pregnancy is very serious, and it has consequences. Also, let me know what you decide, maybe I can offer up some input.

Okay, I have a big problem.

So, there's this kid in my class that I like. Like, like like. (A sentence of only likes. Wow.) BUT, (surprise surprise), he's a guy, and I can't tell his sexual orientation. Sad
So, what do I do? We're good friends and I don't want things to be awkward if he says no.

Thanks for the kind words, Q. I sorta poured my heart out there. That said, Logic, if this one isn't real I reserve the right to hurt you.

Assuming that this one is real though, then there are some things that need to be considered before a decision is made. First of all, you might want to talk to this guy more, find out some things about his interests. This has the possibility to give you some hints at what he's like. You might also want to think about talking to a real psychiatrist or adult that you trust, because letting go of your bottled up feelings and getting advice from somebody who understands can help to bring clarity and free your mind. However, and you're not going to like this, the decision is truly up to you. When it comes to love, I can't tell you what's right for you, and neither can anybody else but you. That sort of thing has to come from the heart. See, the thing is, your situation is actually more common than you'd think it to be. People struggle every day with this sort of decision. Truthfully, it isn't even that much different than if it was a girl. Everybody gets nervous when asking somebody out, it's natural, no matter who you are or what you like. The one bit of guidance that I can offer here though is important to think over. You might want to analyze your relationship with this person. Are you really close friends, or do you just talk to him sometimes? The reason I ask is because kids can be cruel, and you may want to think about how much trust you have in this person before you act. Will he keep your secret, or will he blab? You may want to factor this in to your decision. Whatever you do though, think about it carefully for awhile, this is an important choice and rushing it will come back to bite you. And also, whatever you choose to do, do it with confidence and no matter what the outcome is, be proud. If you don't ask, then that's okay. If you do and it works out, then good for you! If not, then oh well. It might be a little awkward with you and this person, but that's how rejection works. For everybody. Hold your head up high and don't let anybody get to you. If somebody has something to say about it, then that's their problem and they're just bitter. Keep being you, and things will work out eventually.

And let me know how things turn out. Whatever happens, I'm rooting for you. Wink

Sure thing. I'm looking forward to hearing about what happens. You know, I made this thread as a joke, it was only by accident that it got serious, but I'm glad it did. Helping out feels good. Smile

It's only too bad that I don't have his number and that it's winter break. I'll be seeing him in about a week and a half.
