VerveJoint comic?

Hey guys, I was just thinking. Do you think it would be a good idea to collaborate on a comic? We could have everyone that wants to be involved to do a sketch of the character they want to represent themselves with & then they could draw that into a page. The pages of the comic could either be collaborated by everyone involved, or just drawn by one user. I'd offer to do it if Argentin doesn't wish to.

We could start off by deciding on a story & what the characters should look like. I was thinking that the characters could be of any drawing style & put into a mixed-theme comic because the characters are the avatars of the users they represent. We could have plot-lines revolving around the social aspects of marijuana & parties.

What do you say? Anyone up for it?

Souds cool! I'd probably represent myself as a mayonaut version of me. Since I don't do Mary Jane, (unlike Peter Parker) I will volunteer to be that lame character that refuses to smoke and tries to preach the benifits of a drug free lifestyle, unsucessfully of course. Perhaps at the end of my page somebody at the party, (I'm assuming this comic will take place at a Verve member only party, right?) will do something stupid and die because they're high and I'd be all "See, this is what happens!". The next person would have to find a way to resurect the dead character. This is just an idea, of course. I'll be willing to do whatever fits in with the overall story. I hope this works!

Righto then! I've got a busy week ahead of me with Pico Day coming up and all, but when I get the chance I'll get right to work on this. A couple of questions though, and I might sound stupid asking this, but what do you mean by the "ratio of an A4 piece of paper"? Is it the size of the paper? Also, are we collabing on this practice page, or are we all making seperate ones? Just want to clarify before I waste tons of effort doing the wrong thing.

It's the shape of a piece of paper. So if you print it; it will fill the page.

Collabing on the practice page. The background should probably be done first. Then people can draw their characters into it.

Hey guys, I finished my Pico Day drawing up (It'll be posted in my thread soon) and I want to let you know that I'll be starting to work on the background for the practice page now. It shouldn't be too long before I post it, maybe by the end of the weekend or so.

Hey guys, I got the background up! As you can see, it's fairly simple. It includes a TV, a Wii, a table with mayonnaise, (with me reaching for the mayo in my mayonaut form) and a banner. I left plenty of room for characters to be added. Feel free to add any props that you'd like, so long as they don't use up too much space, we need to fit many characters in here. Also, you may have noticed it's mostly uncolored. This is so that it's easier to place your characters on the page in ways that will allow them to interact with the environment, for example, sitting on the couch. If you want, I'll go back and color the background when you've all added your characters. As far as uploading goes, I think I did it right, but if there's some specific size or transparency you needed, just tell me what it is and how to do it and I'll be glad to re-upload the background. Lastly, how are we going to do avatars? I've always been a mayonaut, but what about people like Stick101 and DarkKingBernard who have changed their avatar multiple times? Do they pick their original avatar, or do they have a choice of whichever one they want? If you ask me, I'd give them a choice, but I think we should vote on it before we get too far into the project. Anyways, here's the background:
